For my first Tuesdays with Dorie baking experience, there couldn't have been an easier recipe chosen. These tartlets were super simple to make using store bought puff pastry and fresh apples. Literally only 4 ingredients, I can see myself making these again and again.
I baked these for the 25 minutes suggested in the recipe, but they probably could have gone a little longer. The apples were soft, but still had a little bite to them. I also followed the suggestion of another TWD'er and sprinkled a little salt on each tart. I think this helped enhance the sweet flavor. Some cinnamon sprinkled on top would also be a nice addition.
The taste-testers (i.e. my family) thought these were a very good, light dessert. I served them with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream along side. A simple, delicious dessert! What could be better?
