TWD: Coconut-Roasted Pineapple Dacquoise

Dakwaz... Dakwah... Daxquaz...

Ok, so I still have no idea how to pronounce the recipe chosen this week, but I have to say that I was really looking forward to the challege.

A dessert made with layers of toasted coconut, roasted pineapple, white chocolate ganache, and almond meringue. ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?

But alas, this recipe requires way more hours of work than I am able to devote to it this week. So I will live vicariously through the people who were actually able to make this this week.

And who knows, maybe you'll see my own attempt at this dacquoise sometime soon. Or I will atleast attempt to learn how to pronounce the fun French word...

For the recipe, see Baking: From My Home to Yours by Dorie Greenspan, or read Andrea In The Kitchen. Don’t forget to check out the TWD Blogroll!

You should definitely give it a try when you get the time! It's worth the effort! (Especially if you plan it out wisely, which is one of the reasons I'd like to try it again!)
